  • Sanu is simply the best Salsa dance teacher. First of all, he is a warm person who makes his students feel very welcome. His encouragement and positivity also makes his students feel very motivated. I went to multiple dance studios and learned from different teachers in Melbourne, and every teacher was good in their own way. However, what I was missing was the foundation and structure, and Sanu turned out to be the perfect teacher for that. He combines science/logic thinking and art/dancing in such a beautiful way. Additionally, Sanu’s philosophy towards dancing and life is also something that I appreciated a lot. The studio itself is also very spacious and lovely. I look forward to learning more from Sanu.

We had a great experience at The Secret Garden of Dance. Initially super anxious about our wedding dance, Caroline's patience and fantastic teaching skills transformed us into confident dancers. Her step-by-step guidance and encouraging approach made the learning process fun too. On our wedding day our the dance went off without a hitch, earning us tonnes of compliments from our guests. We're grateful to The Secret Garden of Dance and especially Caroline for turning our anxiety into dance floor magic. If you're seeking a top-notch dance studio with a friendly atmosphere and exceptional instructors, this is the dance studio to go with!

Steph was amazing and fun to work with. She took her time getting to know us and choreographed our dance to suit our level of coordination and our personality! We thoroughly enjoyed our dance on the night and so did our guests (we believe!) Definitely recommend Secrete Garden of Dance if you are up for some additional memories for your big day!

Amy, Simon and Caroline did an amazing job helping us with our first dance. They were so friendly, helpful and professional. We had zero dance experience and they explained music/dance concepts so well. Especially want to thank Amy for her encouragement, patience and her warm and bubbly nature. We had lots of fun!

  • I began my journey with Secret Garden of Dance during Melbourne's 2020 lock-down. With no previous dance experience, I was determined to learn Michael Jackson's Dangerous performance. Sanu's passion for teaching (and MJ) allowed me to exceed my initial expectations (see our video on youtube). Sanu and Caroline's commitment and passion for dance fosters a warm environment for their students to realize their potential. I highly recommend Secret Garden of Dance for those who want try something new, those who are fans of MJ or Afro-Cuban/Salsa.

This studio is the hidden gem of dance in Melbourne! I was so impressed by Sanushka's style and methods of teaching from a workshop I attended in Cairns that I specifically moved to Melbourne to learn from him and his studio. He teaches you so much more than just steps; he teaches you about the music, how to understand it and really breaks things down in a way that I have never seen from any other teacher. Not only this, Sanu has taught me how to learn effectively. I am now travelling in Europe and am able to apply so much of what he has taught me to really step up my game when learning from other teachers and studios. Caroline is the co-director along side Sanu who is a phenomenal dancer and teacher who has learnt from the best. Her precision and technique is so impressive and she also breaks things down in a way that helps you learn really efficiently. I honestly owe so much to these magnificent teachers for the amount of joy they have passed onto me through dance and music. Whether you're a complete beginner or advanced in any style of dance...get in touch! Sanu, Caroline and the team are so welcoming and approachable that you will feel comfortable to ask any questions or doubts that you may have. When I return this will be my first stop 🙂

I can't speak highly enough of Sanu, Caroline, and the whole team at TSGoD. They've come up to Shepparton a few times now and run workshops for us and we always get so much out of them! They're so passionate about their dance and manage to hit the difficult balance between striving for excellence and having fun. Love it!
