June 30, 2022We took lessons in preparation for our wedding for both our First Dance and my Father-Daughter Dance. We cannot recommend this school highly enough!!! Sanushka is absolutely amazing, he is highly skilled teacher who is able to adapt his teaching to all levels of dance, who has excellent communication skills and his classes were truly enoyable. He offered excellent ideas and suggestions for choreography and music, helping us to work our what we did and didn't want. We had the best time at all of our lessons, and our dances were just incredible - everything we could have hoped for! We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I have been to some many different classes all over the world and i can definitely say that Sanuska’s class was more than perfect. Caroline was so professional and welcoming. What a duo ??♥️? They definitely make sure that everyone understands the concepts, musicality, culture and more... if you need some inspiration you must check these guys out. It feels like they want to train people to be good dancers and take the artform forward, rather than just running a dance school. A good student-teacher ratio and modest fee structure made this studio my favourite among many others that I have already attended in the area.

March 22, 2021We first found out about The Secret Garden of Dance through my sister who had registered us for a trial class ahead of our wedding. My husband and I both enjoy dancing socially, but had not had previous experience with learning a choreographed routine. Caroline made us feel welcome and took the time out to get to know us as a couple and thoughtfully crafted a routine for us which we will think back on fondly for years to come. Caroline was patient, professional, articulate and very concise with how she taught us. Instead of rushing into learning the full choreography, she iterated the importance of nailing the basics first and spent time with us till we got it right. Going to classes every week for the 6 weeks in the lead up to our wedding, was something we both eagerly anticipated, and helped us not only learn a new skill, but helped us grow closer together as a couple. Everyone loved our first dance and were totally taken by surprise by our moves! Thank you Caroline - you helped make our wedding feel extra special and unforgettable for us xxx

May 14, 2021If you’re wondering whether you should come here for your wedding dance (or any other dance needs you have) JUST DO IT! Caroline helped me and my partner learn an amazing salsa for our wedding dance, and we managed to look pretty damn good for two people that couldn’t dance walking in there. We also had SO much fun and got along so well with Caroline, she’s a fabulous teacher and person! JUST DO IT!

Faqs
We recommend you wear active wear, casual attire and avoid clothes that are too tight or restricting. Some students come straight from work and others are in shorts and t-shirt. We also have bathrooms where you can get changed.
Recommended: Sneakers, trainers, walking shoes, flats, low heels with ankle support, Ballet flats, Ballroom and Latin dance shoes
Please avoid: Stiletto heels, heels with no ankle support, heavy boots, shoes with thick rubber soles, sandals/thongs/jandals/slip ons/flip flops!
Short answer: 1 hour
Our classes are typically 1 hour in duration, whether it’s a private or group class. We may start or end the class 5 minutes earlier to complete payments, make another booking or answer any questions.
